GENERAL BUSINESS:
Allora Festival - Warwick Show Society were paying the affiliation fee for this event, however it is now the committee organising the events responsibility. As all the proceeds of this go to charity a request was tabled to ask if their case if could be waived. Although Champs sympathised with their predicament there are other clubs/organisations in the same position and if it is done for one it has to be for the others.
Friday Night - What to do - as the venue has been booked for this night we need to either organise something or advise Kedron that we don't require it. Suggestions for possible artists to use and possibility of some form of workshop. Subject to funding arriving as to who we can afford.
Workshops - Dependent on funding Workshops are to be conducted in possibly Toowoomba and Townsville, types to be decided - thoughts at this stage are stage craft, ……..
Suggestion that a good workshop to hold would be "Tips & Hints for running a successful festival/event".
Circuit Judges - to be invited to Champs again.
Suggestion that Circuit Judges chose someone to whom they would like to award a prize during Champs.
Showcase at Gympie Muster - 6-8 p.m. Muster Club - performers invited Juvenile, Junior and Senior Champions, Group (Jackson Sisters), Junior Duet (Molly McClymont & Candice Arlott), Senior Duet (Claye Middleton & Sarah Collett), Senior Instrumentalist (Ian Bennett) and Junior Instrumentalist (Jared Scott). Performers only will be given tickets.
Paul has contacted Briz 31 TV - with a proposal for a country music programme to be included on their station. Idea is that it would follow a similar format to the Radio programme.
Paul had discussions with Gumtree Music re. Sponsorship for Champs - more discussion to follow.
No word on grant submission at this stage.
Ian Crook - showed a format for an entry form which can be used on the net.

Meeting closed at 9.30 p.m.

Next Meeting - 18.8.05 - 7.30 p.m. (next meeting after that will be September back to monthly until 2005 Champs)
