MINUTES: Minutes of the previous meeting were circularised, Don Chester Green moved that the Minutes be accepted a true and correct record, seconded Alan Salmon CARRIED.
ADJUSTMENT TO MINUTES: Delete reference to "nothing paid to date to Itel" $400 was paid previously - as per Minutes April 2004. Moved Ian Crook, seconded Alan Salmon. CARRIED
BUSINESS FROM THE MINUTES:

Headsets - John had no luck with the source he tried - suggestion of hand held UHF's if no other alternative is found.
Spartek - Yes as a sponsor again - we just need to tell him what we want.
Jim Mitchell Award - Jim interested in attending the event - all to put their nomination on paper for next time.

GENERAL BUSINESS:
Brisbane City Council - Barb has applied for a grant from the Council
Friday Night - It has now been announced that John Fogerty will be appearing at the Convention Centre that same night - reported support acts are Lee Kernaghan and Sara Storer - if we can find no one to headline this night in the next two weeks - for less than $1000 we will cancel. Barb to check with the Country Boys.
Flyer needs to be organised for the Kedron booklet and poster for walls if going ahead.
MAYOR - Invitation to Mayor to open Champs - possibly at 5 p.m. so that he is there for the "guts" of the show not just the beginning - Barb to handle.
Two Way Radios - no luck with our approach to Comtel - John George (Toowoomba) to be approached - 5 set needed.
Champs CD - Great Southern Land has agreed to take over the winning song from last year - possibility of an annual situation.
Discussion regarding Internet Conferencing so that more Clubs or individuals can be part of the meetings and discussions - different options available including one that can be used with broadband and one that doesn't need broadband - members may like to check out - Engin and Skype.
Plants for the Stage - Dell emailed a couple of businesses to see if they would provide plants free of charge in return for sponsorship - no response to date. Other suggestion was Brisbane City Council.
Armband - check with Paul as to whereabouts.
Victoria Baillie - An email was received from Victoria asking if we could assist her with travel to Champs for her Guest Spot. After discussion, Don moved that we advise Victoria that this was not possible and that the rules stated travel was the responsibility of the winner, seconded Noelle. CARRIED.
Question with regard to the College of Country Music - this will not be given automatically to the winner of Champs as it is a now a separate award as is the Junior College and Starmaker prize.
Accommodation and Airfares for the judges have been booked and judges have been informed.
Closing date for Songwriters - 14th October and Normal sections 21st October
